Elizabeth Reaser is an American television, film and stage actress who is most well-known for her performances in movies like The Twilight Saga and series such as Greys Anatomy and True Detective. Elizabeth was born in Michigan. From a young age she wanted to become an actor. Following her high-school education, she joined the drama department at Juilliard School and graduated with a master's degree in the fine arts. Her television debut by making a guest appearance in the cult show, The Sopranos, and then starred in a number of notable series that were successful, including The Jury, Hack, and Standoff. The character of Alice Alden from the television show Saved was the turning point in her career for her. In the following years, she was a part of Greys Anatomy, The Good Wife, and True Detective. Since her early years, Jessica expressed interest in the television and film industries. Jessica began her modeling career. Her discovery as an actress when an Australian casting director contacted models for auditions. She was cast as "Kiki," the main character in the film Lightning Point/Alien Surf Girls. Since then, she's been in various roles, such as Peter Pan or Aquamarine. Roman Empire was a Netflix original series in which she starred as Cleopatra. Also, she appeared in the iconic Pirates of the Caribbean film: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Jessica was the winner of the worldwide look-up to find Talon on The Outpost. She sent a videotape of her self to the producers that included her acting, and an additional tape of her performing MMA. When she asked if she is able to do sword-fighting she promptly sent the producers a video. After studying the script, Jessica realized that her role will require training in weapons and she recorded her first session with a trained professional. Jonathan Glassner stated that they were amazed at Jessica's performance at the beginning of her training. The Outpost was her first big film in the US since her prior filmographies were in Australia. Jessica's enthusiasm for action is shown in the film as she demonstrates mixed martial arts and horseback riding expertise, in addition to her athletic abilities and weapons. She can also perform her stunts in a way that portrays a strong female role model. Jessica trained in mixed boxing, martial arts, as well as muay Thai in an Australia-based gym. On set, filming Season 4, Jake Stormoen met a stray dog that was roaming about the filming. This dog was actually an abandoned puppy who lived on the location. Jessica fostered at least two of these pups.
